Meet the HR Team – Tamara DeLoretta

Tamara D. DeLoretta: HR Consultant & Client Relationship Director

You might say Tamara D. DeLoretta is a woman wearing many hats. And you’d be absolutely right. This month the Sinking Spring resident celebrates her sixth anniversary at Hubric Resources, a business she asserts is unique because of its ability to provide HR and recruiting support for other businesses that may not need a fully functioning HR Department or those that might need a bit of help to supplement their projects.

With six years in the industry and a B.S. in Interior Design from West Virginia University, she may seem an unlikely candidate for the titles she holds. Just what brought Tamara to Hubric? She explains, “in 2016, after working in the interior design field for 16 years, I made what I call a sharp left in my career and joined Hubric Resources as the Business Manager. After several months in that role, [owner] Tom Hubric handed me some resumes to conduct phone screens for a client’s recruit. Next, I sat in on in-person interviews and eventually conducted full recruits from start to finish for clients. I then moved on to creating, reviewing and revising employee handbooks and handling employee relations and investigations for clients and eventually was sitting onsite at clients’ businesses as an HR Generalist.”

If you ask Tamara, the variety keeps things interesting. “I enjoy that every day is different and most days I’m sitting at a different desk with a different client handling a variety of HR duties,” she asserts.

Outside of work, Tamara enjoys time with her family: Danny, her husband, and her two daughters, Paige and Lillyanne. Rounding out the crew is a pair of English setters, Millie and Marvel, as well as their orange tabby cat, Max.

She finds joy in traveling, hiking, kayaking, yoga, gardening, fishing and boating. And Tamara is actively working on checking off an item on her must-do list: she and her family plan to complete a 70-mile thru hike backpacking the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail in western Pennsylvania this coming June.

You might say she’s living life to its fullest. Says Tamara, “Years ago, I started asking myself this question when faced with making a decision, whether it be a small one or a big one: ‘Are you going to regret doing this or not doing this?’”
