- COVID-19 Management:
Provide clients with support to handle all COVID related matters with its employees. E.g. policies & procedure development as regulations change, how to handle positive cases, contract tracing and testing.
- Employee Relations:
Manage employee relations issues; serve as a resource to the management team to contact us when an employee issue arises. In additional to regular business hours, we are typically available on weekends and evenings, as necessary.
- Benefits Liaison:
Provide guidance and support to the organization on benefits strategy and compliance when working with all 3rd party vendors. Assist with shopping for employee health benefits annually or as required.
- Employee Liaison:
Serve as the point of contact for employees when they have key HR related questions or concerns that are not appropriate for in-house leadership to handle. For example, an allegation of sexual harassment, discrimination, disputes or other sensitive employment matter.
- Unemployment Compensation:
Consult on all unemployment compensation matters and represent the organization at Unemployment Compensation hearings as needed/as appropriate.
- Workers’ Compensation:
Consult on all employee safety and workers’ compensation matters as needed. We can also facilitate safety committee meetings or other safety matters.
- Employee Handbook:
Revise employment policies as needed or directed. Propose changes, additions, and/or deletions to the employee handbook, company policies and postings as needed and/or as required by law.
- Regulatory Compliance:
Update the organization on changes to employment law that could affect the organization on an ongoing basis. Make changes to policies and procedures as needed.
- Job Descriptions:
Create & update employment job descriptions as needed.
- Performance Management:
Create and/or tweak performance evaluation system as needed to best meet needs of management and staff.
- Coaching, Counseling & Disciplining:
Be available for counsel and/or meetings for the employee relations issues as they arise. Provide forms and other administrative tools as needed.
