Thomas (Tom) J. Hubric of Mohnton started Hubric Resources in 2003 and is responsible for the business’s day-to-day operations. He also provides consulting services to clients. Tom explains, “I provide Human Resources (HR) consulting services to help employers ranging in size from four employees to more than 14,000 hire and manage their employees to more effectively run their business. That’s what makes Hubric Resources unique, our diverse team gives us the ability to work with employers of all sizes and in all industries.”
Tom has 29 years of experience under his belt and holds degrees including an MBA with a concentration in HR from Kutztown University, and tells others looking to enter the field, “you really have to love people and know how to manage conflict.” His own staff, which he asserts is “amazing” and his clients are the reason he looks forward to starting each and every workday. Those workdays usually begin by catching up on emails with planning tasks for the day, but end with relaxation time watching movies. Tommy (another nickname one from childhood that stuck) is married to his “Rock-star” wife, Kimberly, with whom he has three children: Courtney and Camryn, 21, and Ella, 18. He also shares his home with cats Vivian, Pearl and Stevie, and dogs Sophie and Clover. It may come as no surprise that the animal lover also serves as Board President for the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Tom can’t live without time on the water. He fondly remembers family trips to Gold Lake, Ontario, Canada. Now Tom spends his days reeling in his next big catch at his family’s cabin on the Susquehanna River or watching his kids swim at college. As a travel enthusiast, his fondest memory is his recent trip to Iceland, and he longs to visit the Galapagos Islands one day.
